Task Force 5700-H
Rio Hondo Roadunners C77 and Kern Valley Hotshots
This is a photograph of Task Force 5700-H; the task force consisted of the Rio Hondo Roadrunners-Fire Crew 77 (C77) a type II fire suppression hand crew from the Angeles National Forest (on the right wearing black t-shirts) and the Kern Valley Interagency Hotshot Crew (on the left wearing light-blue t-shirts) from the Bureau of Land Management-Bakersfield Field Office in Bakersfield, California.
This photo was taken at the Happy Camp Complex in Happy Camp, CA in August 2006. The task force was organized by the Kern Valley IHC in order to get a few of their crewmembers and overhead signed-off on several task books (e.g., Task Force Leader, Crew Boss, Squad Boss). While on this task force assignment, Kern Valley IHC had one of their crewmembers assigned as Task Force Leader Trainee and another to C77 as a Crew Boss Trainee, and C77 had a few of their crewmembers fill-in with Kern Valley IHC. It was a great experience and opportunity for both crews to receive valuable skills and training.
